Linda Fay Chandler passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 13, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Charles Edwin and Geraldine (Havens) Satterthwaite.
Linda graduated from Oak Hill High School, marking the beginning of a life filled with dedication and love. On April 22, 1962, she married Gene Wallace Chandler, with whom she shared a loving and enduring partnership. Together, they raised two children-daughter, Kelly, and son, Jeffrey-and, in 1979, the family made their home in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Linda was a devoted mother and "Baca", or grandmother, to her two grandchildren, Kennedy and Chandler De Jong.
Her personal interests included shopping, sewing, and crafting, through which she expressed her creativity and generosity. Linda was particularly renowned for her incredible Cheese Cauliflower Casserole, a dish that brought joy to many family gatherings.
Linda's legacy is one of love and nurturing. She was a mother to all, known affectionately as "Mrs. C" to all of her children's friends. Linda's memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Gene W. Chandler; her son, Jeff Chandler; daughter, Kelly De Jong and son-in-law, Lance De Jong; her grandchildren, Chandler and Kennedy De Jong; along with all who knew her.
In accordance with Linda's wishes, she will be cremated.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
