Linda Kay Chase was born October 26, 1945, in Chicago Illinois to Annie L Emerson. Living her entire life as a resident of Kansas City, she worked in the skilled trades for two companies, Western Electric. (AT&T) and Keebler's (Kellogg's Company), retiring in 2012.
Linda loved cooking for her family and big gatherings. She loved reading and traveling. As a member of Malachi Baptist Church for more than 25 years, she held the position as 'leader of the food pantry', was on the committee for preparing and distributing food baskets for Thanksgiving and gave the church announcements at Sunday service. She honored God and Jesus by serving others and this was one of her most beautiful attributes.
Linda is survived by her four children, Cynthia Morris; Kim Rose; Shawn E. Chase (Shawn L); and Robert L Chase (Valerie), all of Kansas City area; two sisters, Jacqueline Washington; and Margaret Hamlett; four brothers, James Rowden preceded her in death in 2010; John Rowden; Kenneth Rowden; and David Rowden.
She dearly loved her seven grandchildren, Brandon Larkin; Leandra (Shay) McAdoo; Tyler Morris; Ashley Morris; Evann Chase; Breiona Byers; and Alexis Mahone; five great grandchildren, Carmelo Collins; My'Aire Counce; Charles Howard; Caisley Howard; and Crue Howard.
Linda had many great friends, was deeply loved and will be truly missed by us all. Rest In Peace.
Funeral Services will be held on March 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd. KCMO 64130. Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 9-11:00 a.m. at the Chapel. For further information call Watkins Heritage Chapel at 816-861-3030. Arrangements entrusted to Watkins Heritage Chapel.
