Linda Cramer Obituary

Linda Mae Cramer, of Lennox, South Dakota passed from this life on February 6, 2026 at the age of 81.

Visitation with family present will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Jarman Family Funeral Home in Lennox. Linda was born in Sioux Falls on December 7, 1944 to parents Marion and Lottie Langerock. The family lived in Sioux Falls briefly thereafter before settling in Lennox, where Linda grew up and graduated from high school in 1962.

On August 30, 1963, Linda was joined in marriage to Larry Cramer at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Lennox. The two met at a hay ride while in high school a few years earlier and the rest is history as they say. They lived for a couple of years in Sioux Falls before moving to Lennox, where they raised their children and built their life together.

From the time she graduated high school, Linda was hard at work, first at Tri-state Transportation, then the local chiropractic office, the grocery store, and finally Ophthalmology Limited in Sioux Falls, where she served through many changes and growth over the years before retiring.

A faithful member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Linda could often be found at Bible Studies and helping with ministry to those in the community. She always loved an excuse for a gathering and enjoyed going to group exercise classes, which often led to hours visiting over coffee, going out to eat with friends and family, or gathering everyone together at the holidays. In addition to spending time with friends and family, Linda loved lighthouses, feeding and watching the birds in her yard, train rides and her coffee.

A quiet presence within any group, Linda offered wisdom when necessary and encouragement always. She had a way about her that if a person was troubled, she knew what to say. And in spite of her quiet demeanor, a quick phone call could often turn into an hour or more of talk and conversation.

Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry Cramer; her children, Darla Cramer and Darin (Debbie) Cramer, both of Lennox; grandchildren, Kolby Reinke of Denver, CO, Kelsey (Phillip) Newsom of Cheyenne, WY; Megan (Hunter) Buck of Lennox, and Mia Cramer (Jackson Star) of Sioux Falls; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Raechel Newsom and Nora Buck; and sister Denise (Gary) Rippentrop of Scottsdale, AZ; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister Donna Friese.
