Linda Weaver Craven, 76, of Mt. Zion, GA, formerly of West Jefferson, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 26th, 2023. Linda was born in Jefferson, NC on March 28th, 1947, to Reeves and Ruth Weaver.
Linda worked many years in the Ashe County school system. First, at Jefferson Elementary as secretary and then at the Board of Education as Nutritional and Transportation secretary. She also worked for many years at Ashe Memorial Hospital in medical records.
Linda was an active member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church for many years before moving to Georgia to be with her daughter and family.
She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Logan Craven, her parents Reeves D Weaver and Virginia Ruth Weaver, both of Jefferson, NC, and her husband, Jerry Lee Craven, of Glendale Springs, NC.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Leigh Craven Knight and son-in-law Robert Knight, of Carrollton, GA, three grandsons, Jarred, Judson, Channing Knight, all of Carrollton, GA, sister, Sue Weaver Trivette and her husband Jimmy of Purlear, NC, sister, Donna W Roberts and her husband Dave of Livingston, TN, her nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
In accordance with her wishes, Linda will be cremated and a "Celebration of Life" will be held at Boone Family Funeral Home on Saturday, June 10th at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medi Home Hospice, PO BOX 421 Jefferson, NC 28640.
