Linda Jean Dawson, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Moncks Corner, SC on May 24, 2025.
Linda was born in Fairfield, AL on September 19, 1947 to John Thomas Bonner (Deceased) and Ethel Paugh Bonner (Deceased).
Linda is preceded in death by her son Gerald Dawson. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Scott) Baldrick and Dawn (Bremer) Lewis. Her grandchildren Nicholas Agee, Mary Baldrick, Gerald Lewis, Autumn Lewis, Ashton Lewis, Cullen Lewis, Annabelle Lewis and Madelyn Lewis; her great grandchildren, River Lewis, Gerald Lewis Jr, Sutton Lewis, and Wrenley Lewis; her brothers, Ricky (Lila) Bonner, Harry Bonner, Glenn (Janice) Bonner.
Linda was a loving mom, a proud and doting grandmother, and someone you could always count on. She worked for over 10 years at the State Ports Authority, where she gave her all and made lifelong friends. But more than anything, Linda loved her family - they were everything to her. She showed up with her whole heart, always making sure the people she cared about knew they could count on her. She had such a big, kind heart. Linda would do anything for the people she loved. She was strong, thoughtful, and the kind of person who made others feel safe just by being there. If you needed something - whether it was a meal, a listening ear, or someone to lean on - she was there. She wasn't afraid of anything. Life threw plenty her way, but Linda met every challenge head-on, with strength, grace, and that quiet toughness that never wavered. She was a fighter in every sense of the word, and she did it all with love. Linda loved being outside - working in her yard, feeling the sun on her face. She had a special love for her dog, Rollo, who brought her a lot of comfort and joy over the years. She also had a love for travel and made it a point to visit family whenever she could. Those trips were some of her happiest times. Linda leaves behind so many beautiful memories - of laughter, love, strength, and kindness. She made this world a better place just by being in it, and her spirit will stay with all of us who loved her so deeply.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on May 31st, from 3-5pm at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial services located at:
