Timothy James Curtiss, though most knew him as Mr. Tim, Mr. Curtiss, Mr. Snick, or just plain Tim, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Summerville, South Carolina, at the age of 69.
Tim was born on April 14, 1956, in Willard, Ohio. He spent his career as a dedicated computer analyst and manager for American Electric Power (AEP), where he worked from 1977 until his retirement in 2015.
Tim was a man of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep generosity. He loved watching football, softball, and wrestling (both on TV, and in person when family would compete), and was especially passionate about serving his church community. His dry sense of humor and quick wit brought smiles to those around him, and he was well-known for his willingness to help others-always ready to give of his time and his resources.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Curtiss; daughters, Christa Curtiss and Niki Malphrus; granddaughter, Rose Malphrus; and sister, Tina Stieber. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 7, 2025 at Sonrise Christian Church to celebrate Tim's life and legacy.
