Snider Memorial Funeral Home - OrchardFuneral Service for Linda Deiterman age 64 of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 Orchard United Methodist Church in Orchard, Nebraska; Jeff Shabram will be officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard, Nebraska. Visitation will be an hour before at 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Orchard will be handling the arrangements. Linda passed away July 16, 2025 at Faith Regional Hospital. Linda K. Deiterman was born April 15, 1961, to Harold and Florence (VanOstrand) Schwager at Neligh, Nebraska. She was the third child of the 4 children and was raised on the farm north of Orchard. Linda attended Orchard High School and graduated with the Class of 1979. She attended Westmar College in LeMars for 3 years. On November 12, 1988, formed a union with Kenneth Deiterman in Le Mars, IA. Linda started her family in 1989, when she had Josh in Brunsville, Iowa. While there she supported her family by working at Tyson Foods but realized her passion was caring for others. Ten months later in 1990, she had Adam. 1991, she had her only daughter, Sarah. Then in 1993, she had Benjamin. After that she moved back to Nebraska to raise her family. She worked as a CNA for most of her life in O’Neill, Neligh, Verdigre, Madison, and finished her career at St. Joe’s in Norfolk due to her health. Linda enjoyed her family vacations especially Plymouth County Fair, road trips, and stopping at Palmer Candy Company. Making memories with her family and seeing her children and their accomplishments. She also liked playing bingo, spoiling her grandkids, going to cooking/baking shows, making holidays special. Favorite animals were butterflies and koala bears.
Survived by her children: Josh Deiterman of Stanton, NE; Adam Deiterman of Chamberlain, SD; Sarah Deiterman of Norfolk, NE; and Ben Deiterman of Council Bluffs, IA. Her mom and step father, Florence and Herb Ziegenbein of Winnetoon, NE. Four grandchildren: McKenna Deiterman, Maverick, Peyton, and Levi Deiterman. Brother, Ryan Schwager of Orchard, NE and sister, Diane and John Hoff of Norfolk, NE. Susan and Reg Green of Creighton, NE; Betty and Wendell Rohrer of Verdigre, NE, and Herb & Lisa Ziegenbein of Plainview, NE. Cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, dad and brother Steve Schwager.
