Mrs. Linda Lou Ditmore, age 71, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at her residence in Franklin, KY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be no service. Her wishes were to be cremated.
Linda was born on May 15, 1953 in Franklin, KY to the late Harry Raymond “Dick” Thomas and the late Mary Lou (Duty) Thomas. She is also preceded in death by an infant sibling, James “Jimmy” Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alvin Ditmore; 3 children, Buffie Ditmore Dunn of Franklin, KY, Brian Ditmore of Franklin, KY and Lindsey Ditmore (Scott Blackford) of Franklin, KY; 3 grandchildren, Kelsi Crafton, Izzy Wyatt and Trace Blackford; a great-grandson, Lenny Williams; a brother, Punkin Thomas (Paulette) of Franklin, KY; 2 nieces, DeAnn Moyers and Paula Gore; 1 nephew, Chris “Hippie” Thomas.
Linda was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklin, KY. She received an Associate's Degree in early child development from Western Kentucky University. With that degree, she started and operated Kiddieland Daycare in Franklin, KY in the early 1990’s. Linda also worked for the Kendall Corporation/Berry Plastics for over 35+ years. She enjoyed to read and to be outdoors and loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandson.
