LINDA DONAGHUE Obituary

DONAGHUE LINDA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Donaghue on November 20, 2024 at the age of 76. Linda was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 22, 1948 to Ernest and Marion Postles. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Donaghue, her devoted sister, Gail (Steve) Garber; adoring niece and nephew Nichole (Jonathan), Zachary and great nieces: Kennedy, Allye, and Julia. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Norman (Patricia) Donaghue, Lenore Donaghue, Jack (Renee) Donaghue, Mary Donaghue, Jen (Patrick) Growney, as well as her adoring nieces and nephews: Patrick, Bryan (Liz), Sloane, Allison, Tess, Seane (Mike), Jacquelyn, Michael John, Richard (Liz), Christopher and great niece Nora. She is pre-deceased by Tom's brother, Michael Donaghue and nephews: Norman and Robert. Linda graduated with a BA in Accounting from La Salle College in May 1980. She later worked at Thomas Jefferson University in the Bursar's office, rising in the ranks. It was there she met the love of her life, Tom. They married on January 5, 1989, and shortly thereafter moved to New Jersey, where they would enjoy many beautiful years. In later years, even after a MS diagnosis, nothing could stop Linda's powerful spirit. Linda fought the disease with such tenacity just like she did with everything in her life. Determined to keep her independence up to the end, she went beyond what a lot of people would have been able to achieve. Linda had many passions in life. If you knew Linda, you know her love of dogs. Especially her Maggie, Murphy, Casey, Misty, and Bailey. She loved travelling, good food, fine wine and spending time with family and friends, whom she loved fiercely. Some of her favorite trips included the Jersey shore and Myrtle Beach, SC. She is so very loved and will be truly missed. Thank God for the wonderful memories. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Tuesday, November 26th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish), 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Township, NJ 08033 where her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Samaritan Center online at http://www.samaritannj.org or mailed to PO Box 71425 Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
