Linda Faye Powell Gohagin Obituary

She cherished every moment spent with her husband and now can be with him. She had a big heart filled with things she loved, baking was one of her favorite joys, filling her home with sweet smells and tasty treats. Her dogs and cats were always by her side, adding warmth and laughter to her days. She enjoyed fishing, finding peace by the water, and her family meant the world to her. Spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews brought her immense happiness. Sundays were special too, as she loved going to church and cherishing moments of faith. In the evenings, she would settle in to watch westerns, losing herself in the stories of adventure and heroism.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Houston Carlos Gohagin; daughter, Carla Annette Wasdin; parents, Carnell and Nellie Mae Powell; sisters, Billy Jean Powell, Geraldine West, Velma Jean Smith, and Gladys Qualls; brothers, Pete Powell, Raymond Powell, and Bill Powell.
She is survived by her daughter; Neely (Gary) Baggett; three grand-daughters, Mallory (Jason) Crysell, Brittany (Drew) Shamblin and Kasey (Joseph) Drew; seven great-grandchildren, Brodie Rolin, Autumn Rolin, Corbin Crysell, Caleb Shamblin, Holden Drew, Houston Drew and Hardy Drew; sister-in-law, Laura Powell and eighteen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. with Bro. Mark Peacock and Bro. William Bubba Rollin officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Brodie Rolin, Corbin Crysell, Caleb Shamblin, Larry Gohagin, Daughin Gohagin, and Jon Hansen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Moye and Ben Moye
