Linda Lou Fisher 83 of Gay, WV, departed this earthly world on November 23, 2023 at Mountain View Care Center, Ripley, after a battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Linda was born June 23, 1940 at Belgrove, Jackson County, the youngest daughter of the late Oshel and Coonie Southall Casto. She retired as a custodian for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services. She attended the Aplin Methodist Church and enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with family and loved ones.
She is survived by her children, Cindy (Ralph) Casto of Ravenswood, Janice (Ronnie Harper) Ables of Gay, James Rhodes (Kim White) of Gay and Connie Rhodes of Ravenswood; sister Jean (Glen) Jeffries; grandchildren Misty Pepper, Cassie Comer, J.R. Abels, Amanda Vannest, Jeremy Abels, Allie Rodes and Maddie Rhodes. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Fields and brother Everette Rex Casto Sr.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. At 12:40 pm a funeral procession will leave for Aplin Cemetery, Gay where a graveside service will be held with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating.
