LINDA FREDERKING

Mrs. Linda Frederking of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Countryside Manor at Aviston, IL on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 6:22 A.M. She had attained the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 15 days.

Linda was born in Nashville, IL on March 26, 1946, the daughter of Warren and Virginia (nee Evilsizer) Stricker. She was united in marriage to Roy Frederking in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Okawviile on December 10, 1966, and he survives her passing.

Linda was a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Okawville. She was a 1964 graduate of Okawville High School. Linda worked for the family newspaper, The Okawville Times, until her retirement in 2008. She served on the board of directors for the Okawville Wheat Festival where she was secretary for 25 years. Linda was honored by being named Parade Marshall in 2016. She was also a member of the Okawville Community Club. Linda enjoyed traveling, reading, and especially attending the sporting events of her grandchildren.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Roy Frederking of Okawville; two children, Brian Frederking and wife Debbie of Okawville, and Cindy Kasten and husband Nathan of Hoyleton, IL; four grandchildren, Blake Kasten and wife Megan of Hoyleton, Noah Frederking and wife Kendall of Charlotte, NC, Paige Harre and husband Payten of Okawville, and Caleb Frederking of Maryville, IL; a great grandson, Beckett Harre and great granddaughter Kasten arriving soon; a sister, Judy Hasheider of Okawville; a brother, Gary Stricker and wife Debby of Okawville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Frederking and wife Joann of Glen Carbon, IL, Alice Klasing of Okawville, Gene Frederking and wife Sharon of Addieville, IL, and Shirley Breautigam of Mascoutah, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Edwin and Erna Frederking; and three brother-in-law, Wayne Hasheider, Dennis Klasing, and Jack Breautigam.

Funeral services will be held from the Immanuel Lutheran church in Okawville on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Eric Wood officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 16 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery or to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
