Linda Gerk, 80, of Crystal Lake, was born on February 18, 1944 to the late Kenneth and the late Doris Cook, and passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025.
Linda was the loving mother of Debbie (Richard) Monfeli, Julie Scott and Brian Gerk; grandmother of Anthony (Kristin), Lauren, Michael (Veronica) and Joseph Monfeli, Kevin Scott, Kelly (Kevin) Popek and Dana Scott, Tayler (Walter) Billodeaux and Madisen Nick, Monroe Gerk and Avery (Tim) Deboard; great-grandmother of Anthony, Remo and Noah; sister of Ron (Sue) and Judy Cook; loving aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard "Dick" in 2017; her parents and her brother, Richard Cook.
Linda retired from United Airlines, where she worked as a flight attendant. She was an avid gardener, painter and enjoyed decorating, fashion and staying fit. Linda also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Visitation for Linda will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4 – 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. On Friday, January 31, visitation will continue from 10 AM until the time of her service at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
