Linda S. Guster (Stein)
Bay City, MichiganOur beloved wife, sister, and aunt passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her home, leaving behind her loving family and many dear friends.
Linda was born on December 5, 1958, in Bay City, she was the daughter of Robert and Donna (Jones) Stein. On March 26, 1992, she married the love of her life, Steven Guster, and together they shared many happy years filled with family, laughter, and cherished memories. Linda was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bay City.
Linda's greatest joy was always found in the company of her family. She and Steven played a vital role in raising their granddaughters, Ashley and Chelsea Richards, and lovingly raised her great niece, Sophia Stein, who became more like a daughter than a niece. Linda also treasured time spent shopping and traveling with her dear friend, Linda Betzold, often exploring the beauty of Michigan together. She was known for her love of traveling, her warm spirit in hosting gatherings, and her unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Steven; her parents, Robert and Donna Stein; her brother, Jim (Donna) Stein; nephews, David (Dani) Stein and Brian Stein; great-nieces Chloe and Laiklynn Stein; her beloved Sophia Stein, who held a special place in her heart, and loving sister-in-law Tina (Don) Morton. Linda also leaves behind many cousins who will remember her with love.
Linda is also survived by her stepchildren: Gretchen Guster; Kelly (David) Schumacher; Ed Byrnes; Jackie Guster; and Philip (Brynn) Guster. She was a proud grandmother to Mitchell and Amelia Guster; Shannon Wiegert; Darrell Webster; Brandon Webster; Emily, Nathan, and Miles Byrnes; as well as Ashley and Chelsea Richards. Linda was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law John C. and Betty J. Guster, son-in-law Derek Guster, and niece Amanda Stein.
Linda's life was defined by love, generosity, and the joy she brought to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
The Funeral Service for Linda will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Ave.,
Bay City, Michigan 48708. Pastor Chris Garcia will officiate, and private committal will be in Caseville Township Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1st from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday after 10:00 AM. ambrosefuneralchapel.com
