Linda Prior Hager

Linda Prior Hager, 76, of Middleburg passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. A 7th-generation Floridian, she was born in Lakeland, Florida, on March 17, 1949, to Grace and Evert Prior, Sr. During Linda's high school years, she was a member of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). Upon graduating from Garner High School in Raleigh, NC, she relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, worked for Southern Bell as a Switchboard Operator, and ultimately retired from AT&T as a Long-Distance Telephone Operator. Linda was a beloved wife and mother. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Victor Hager; two daughters, Gwyn Turner and Rebecca Hickman; two stepchildren, Dale Hager (Sandra) and Jodie Baker (Jeff); four grandchildren, Austin (Kara), Kolton (Jessyca), Kason and Kyleigh; and two great grandchildren, Makenna and Maevrie. Linda was also a beloved sister to Wanda, David (Ginny), Martha (Doug), Debbie (Bruce), Donald (Robin), Jeannette (Patrick) and preceded in death by Walter. Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach and traveling with her husband. Linda was a parishioner of St. Luke Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd., Middleburg, FL 32068. There will be a reception following the service. After the reception, the grave side ceremony will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073.
