Rest in peace, Aunt Linnie - the legend (Queen Bee!).
Thank you for loving me unconditionally, even when I probably didn´t deserve it (which was often).
Thank you for showing me how to clean the tub with Scrubbing Bubbles after my bath (because clearly I wasn´t going to clean the tub on my own)... for letting me sit on your favorite fancy couch after my bath... for teaching me how to swim at Wingfield Pines country club, for blasting WAMO R&B while driving way too fast in your Cadillac... taking me to the Oasis Italian Restaurant almost every weekend for cheese raviolis like I was royalty... letting me hang my stinking hockey gear in your living room after picking me up from practice at 1:00 AM Saturday nights, and for buying me expensive clothes just so I could impress a girlfriend from Upper Saint Clair!
And I´m really sorry for...
- putting the cat in the fireplace (and having used your makeup for war paint) and waking Uncle Johnny who was sleeping on the coach in the game room to light it!?!?! (seriously, sorry about that)
- getting locked out in a snowstorm in the middle of the night because I thought the cat needed to pee
-and disappearing into the arcade at Wingfield Pines when you were trying to find me
You somehow loved me through all of it. You were one of a kind, and I´ll carry your love, your laughter, and your absolute Aunt Linnie-ness with me always!!!
You´ll always be my favorite Aunt Linnie and second Mother. I love you.
