Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM CT in Holy Family Cemetery Chapel, 2807 N. Curtis Lane, New Iberia, LA 70560 for Linda RoJeane Hayes, age 78. She passed away, October 10, 2025, in Lafayette, LA.
Interment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery Chapel. Deacon LeBlanc will officiate at the graveside service.
Linda was born on April 2, 1947, in Santa Barbara, CA and became a resident of New Iberia, LA in 1967.
Linda was known for her kind and gentle nature and her boundless patience. She had a love and fascination with the latest electronic gadgets. She also enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard and searching New Iberia for great deals and bargains.
Linda is survived by four of her five children, Candace R. Hale and her husband, Kirk (Kyle) of Knoxville, TN; Holly M. Hickson-Broussard and her husband, Chris of Coppell, TX; Kirk M. Hickson and his wife, Faith of New Iberia, LA; and Kenneth A. Hickson and his wife, Beatriz of Farragut, TN; Daughter-in-Law, Melissa Hickson of New Iberia, LA; seven grandchildren, Cory Hale and his wife Janelle, Jamie Hickson, Audrey Broussard, Jordan LeBlanc, Abram Hickson, Adrian Gatica and Daniel Gatica; her sister Tamara Shore and brother Todd Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Edward Hickson, IV; her parents, Samuel James Hayes and RoJeane Eloise Hayes, brother James Hayes, sister Judith Hayes.
Pallbearers are Kyle Hale, Chris Broussard, Kirk Hickson, Kenneth Hickson, Abram Hickson, and Cory Hale.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Iberia Medical Center for the exceptional care they provided to Linda.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Linda Hayes to the American Cancer Society.
