Linda L Just, age 62, of Hayward, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Tamarack Health, after a three and a half year battle with cancer.
Linda was born on July 18, 1962, to Howard and Lillian Bowden, in the south side of Chicago, Illinois. She then attended high school in Elmhurst, IL, where she graduated in the year 1980. During high school she was in gymnastics, cheerleading, and worked for the local Holiday Inn and various other jobs. She then moved to Hayward with her high school friend, working as a waitress and bartender. Linda was a stay-at-home mother and wife, she took care of the children until they were old enough to not need the care. After that she worked for 5 years at the Co-op, in the bakery as well as a cashier. In 1998 she went to work at Valley Health Care as a CNA, which she worked at for 23 years. In this time she showed to the residents how much of a loving, caring, and kind person she was, she was always very dedicated in her work.
Some of the things that Linda loved doing were gardening, traveling, watching sitcoms, and working in her yard, as she loved wildlife and nature. She also enjoyed going to concerts, as she was a big music fan, as well as going out to the movies. She also enjoyed her time raising and selling Shih Tzu puppies.
Linda is survived by her husband of 18 years, Tracy Just; her two children, Tiffany Johnstone, and Tim (Stephanie) Johnstone; her grandchildren, Theodore, Elliot, and Charlotte Johnstone; and her brother, Joe Diniatalle.
Linda is preceded in death by her foster parents.
A celebration of life for Linda will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at the Spider Lake Church with Pastor Tim Young officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. There will be a luncheon to follow the service.
