Linda Kaderka passed away peacefully Thursday, March 27, 2025, at her home in Taylor, Texas. Linda was born in Taylor on March 6, 1945, to Agnes Tschoerner Cmerek and Ladislov Cmerek of Granger, Texas. On June 23, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart Darvin Kaderka. She is survived by her sons, Darrell Kaderka and his wife Sharon of Cypress, and Kelly Kaderka and his fiancée Chris Gonzales of Taylor; granddaughters Madison and Camryn Kaderka; sister Lannette Croughen and husband Andy; brothers Larry Cmerek and wife Eileen, and Lynn Cmerek and wife Janet; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Darvin Kaderka, parents Lad and Agnes Cmerek, brother Laddie Joe Cmerek, nephew Adrian Cmerek, daughter-in-law Lela Kaderka, father-in-law Emil Kaderka and wife Martha, brother-in-law Richard Kaderka, brother-in-law Emil Kaderka and wife Julie, and nephew Bryan Kaderka.
Linda had a distinguished and fulfilling career marked by dedication and service. As a real estate broker and co-owner of Taylor Properties, she helped countless individuals find their homes. She later brought compassion and commitment to her role as the Victims Assistance Coordinator for the Williamson County Sheriff's Department, providing support to those in need. Before retiring, she continued her service as an administrative assistant to Justice of the Peace Judy Hobbs, where her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impact.
Linda was an active member of her community and was committed to numerous organizations including the Jr. Woman’s Study Club and the Taylor Area Businesswomen, earning Taylor Woman of the Year in 2010. She was also a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, contributing to the St. Anne’s Altar Society and the St. Mary’s Church Renovation Project. Linda stayed remarkably busy with a variety of hobbies, including caring for her flower garden and plants, attending Czech language classes, playing cards with friends, traveling, and keeping up with classmates from the Granger High School Class of 1963. She was also committed to staying active, regularly attending Anytime Fitness in Taylor. None of which interfered with her first being Granny to her granddaughters Madison and Camryn.
Linda approached every task with unwavering determination and the highest standards, inspiring those around her to do the same. Whether in her career, volunteer work, or personal life, she was known for her dedication, meticulous organization, and unwavering ability to get it done. However, Linda’s true legacy lies in the love and unity she nurtured within her family. With a heart full of warmth, she created lasting memories through shared experiences, ensuring that the bonds of family remained strong. Her impact on her loved ones and community will be deeply felt and forever cherished.
