Linda Kennedy Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 30, 2026.
Linda Lou Kennedy, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, under the compassionate care of hospice services at Acorn Hill.

Linda was born on May 2, 1936. In 1956, she married her beloved husband, Arnold. During his service in the United States Army, the couple moved to Virginia, where their son Jeffrey was born. They later returned to Mosinee, where they planted their roots and built a life centered on family and community.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey (Mindy) Kennedy and Douglas (Christine) Kennedy. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Bobbie Jo (Brooke) Kennedy, Blair (Arlen) Hoen, Kyle (Kate) Kennedy, Morgan (Taylor) Schleh, Lucas (Megan) Ziemanski, Austin (Alycia) Kennedy, Logan (Kaitlyn) Kennedy, Carson Kennedy, and Jackson Kennedy. She was further blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Braydon Hoen, Paige Hoen, Mia Schleh, Aubrey Kennedy, Haisley Kennedy, Millie Kennedy, and Callum Kennedy.

Linda is also survived by her siblings, Bettie (Jerry) Denny, Mary (Kathy) Stoiber, and Allen Stoiber.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold, and her parents, Clarence and Isabel Stoiber.

Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing cards and occasionally visiting the casino. Family gatherings were especially dear to her, and she expressed her love through delicious home-cooked meals that brought everyone together. She worked for many years at the Mosinee Airport and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Linda cherished sharing stories of her life's adventures, especially vacations with her sisters and brother, creating memories that she lovingly passed down through her storytelling. Her family will forever remember her giving and loving heart and her willingness to help others.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Linda and the staff at Acorn Hill for their compassionate care, as well as Amanda and the staff at Interim for the exceptional support they provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 603 4th Street, Mosinee. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Linda's warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
