Linda LeBrasseur Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nelson Funeral Care - Cloquet on Oct. 21, 2025.
Linda Marie (Kantonen) LeBrasseur, 76, of Cloquet, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth on Friday, October 17th, 2025.

She was a lifelong resident of Cloquet, MN and is survived by her children, Corey LeBrasseur of Cloquet and Nathan (Tracy) LeBrasseur of Rochester, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Brian LeBrasseur.

Born on May 22, 1949, in Cloquet to Ahti and Aino Kantonen, Linda graduated from Cloquet High School in 1967 and married Jerry in 1969. They enjoyed more than 40 years together until his passing in 2009. During this time, she was a supportive mother, served as an administrative assistant for Lutheran Social Services, and helped with the day-to-day of Jerry's Mac Tools.

Linda was a loving grandmother to Zoe, Samantha, and Hartley LeBrasseur, and an ever-present big sister to her four brothers, Gary (Mary d.), Lee (Laurie), Kevin (Mavis), and Rick Kantonen of Cloquet, and her sister, Julie (James) Juntti, of Barnum. She was a long-time, dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cloquet.

Linda lived simply, and cherished time with her siblings, sons, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. She took great pleasure in morning devotions, peaceful nature walks, good books, a scoop of ice cream, and country drives, especially when they included a fresh cup of coffee.

A visitation and time for fellowship for all to celebrate Linda's life will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Ave in Cloquet. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet to assist them with arrangements. See their online guest book at nelsonfuneralcare.net.

The family would like to thank Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center Intensive Care Unit and Palliative Care staff for their outstanding service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated Reach Youth-Adult Partnerships in Carlton County for memorial contributions (https://www.reachyap.org/donate).
