Linda Denise Caldwell was born May 12, 1959, to the late Moses Kirkland and Mattie (Kirkland) Payne in Washington, DC.
Linda attended Birney Elementary School and Douglass Jr. High School in Washington, D.C. She later married Joseph M. Lee and relocated to Falls Church, Virginia, where she attended J.E.B. Stuart High School.
Following her graduation, Linda worked as an intern at the Pentagon. She later accepted employment at Giant Food Store. Her dedication and commitment were soon recognized, leading her to a role as a bakery clerk. Through her unwavering determination and strong work ethic, she rose to the esteemed position of Bakery Supervisor.
Later in her life, Linda married Maurice Caldwell. At every family gathering, you did not see Linda without Maurice at her side. He was a constant companion to Linda at these gatherings.
Linda was a vibrant soul, always the life of the party. She was the dancing queen, her love for dancing unparalleled. Her infectious laughter filled the room, and she would often be the first and last on the dance floor, her passion for dancing was evident to all. Even when it became difficult for her to walk without assistance, that did not stop her from dancing, a testament to her unwavering passion.
Linda was loved by all who met her; as a tribute to her love for music, dance, and life, her nieces created a song called 'Do Aunt Linda Dance.'
Linda leaves to cherish her memory, husband Maurice Caldwell (D.C.); three (3) sons, Joseph Lee, III (Va.); David Lee (Va); and Brandon Lee (Va.) one (1) daughter, Jessica (Lee) Jackson (Va), and one son-in-law, Dearl Jackson (Va), two Daughter-in-laws Jennifer Scott & Madison Coyne.
