Linda Anne (Wiggins) Likins, a devoted follower of Christ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was 82.

Born on November 26, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda was the third child of Fern (Potter) and Laurence Wiggins. After her father's early passing, Linda and her mother, Fern, along with her brother Larry and sister Tish, settled in Springfield, Missouri, where Linda became a lifelong resident. They began attending Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield Missouri that would make a profound influence on her mother, siblings, and Linda that lasted a lifetime and shaped Linda into the remarkable person she was.

Linda attended Sunshine Elementary and was a proud graduate of Parkview High School. During these formative years, she cultivated beautiful, enduring friendships that remained central to her life. Her time as a cheerleader and her sorority involvement brought many memorable moments that she often recounted with joy.

In 1966, Linda married Greg Johnson. She lovingly helped raise Greg's daughter, Ashley, and together they welcomed three sons: Peter, Tyler, and Andy, who were the true loves of Linda's life. In 1989, Linda found love again and married George Likins. George was a wonderful and instrumental presence in Linda's life and family, and they shared a loving relationship until his passing in 2008. In 2010, Linda reconnected with David Meyer, a cherished childhood friend, and they shared a loving companionship until her final days.

Family and friends were paramount to Linda, and the lasting relationships throughout her life. She cherished spending weekends at Table Rock Lake and all the trips she went on with her girlfriends.

While her love for her boys was immense, in later years, her grandsons, Drew and Jake Johnson, became her true joy. She was blessed in 2023 when her great-granddaughter, Alora Jayne Johnson, came into the world, bringing her tremendous happiness. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Laurence Wiggins; her mother, Fern Wiggins; her brother, Larry Wiggins; her husband, George Likins; and her beloved son, Tyler Johnson.

She is survived by her partner, David Meyer; her sister, Tish Brice; her sons, Peter Johnson and Andrew Johnson; her grandsons, Drew Johnson and Jake Johnson; and her great-granddaughter, Alora Johnson. Linda also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Mary Wiggins; stepdaughter, Ashley Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Beth Johnson Clarkson; the Wiggins and Coppinger families; and numerous extended family and countless friends whose lives she touched deeply.

There will be a visitation at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield on Friday, August 1 from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 601 E. Walnut, Springfield, 65806 Saturday, August 2 at 10:00am, officiated by Rev. Tim Coppinger, Linda's nephew. Linda will be placed eternally in the Columbarium in Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield Missouri.
