Betty Jean Najafi

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, Betty Jean Najafi (Turner) of Springfield, MO, passed away at the age of 82. Betty was a graduate of Parkview High School (Class of 1960).

She attended Missouri State University (formally Southwest Missouri State) and later earned her LPN certification.

Though Betty enjoyed her time as an LPN, her most rewarding job was being a mother and homemaker. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Judith White, her 3 sons and their families; Michael, Sean (Heather) and Terry (Jeanne), her 7 grandchildren; Jordan, Michael, Kory, Lacey (Jake), Autumn (Steven), Matthew, and Aleah (Ethan), and her 5 cherished great grandchildren; Kinsley, Ethan, Eli, Jackson, and Lincoln. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty Jean is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Maurice Turner and Maxine Dunsmore (Turner), her husband, (Mike) Nosratollah T. Najafi, and a daughter-in-law, Kymberly Najafi.

Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Wednesday, 11/19, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 11/20 at 10 am. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
