Linda Mabile

Linda Mabile (78) passed away on October 8, 2025 in Tallahassee, Florida where she lived nearly her entire life. She was born in 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents H.C. and Verna Martin. Linda graduated Leon High School prior to attending Nathaniel Hawthorne College (NH) where she earned her Bachelor of Art degree. She touched and improved countless lives by serving individuals with developmental disabilities, both as an administrator of group homes throughout the Southeast and for the State of Florida creating care rules and regulations.
Linda enjoyed spending time in the mountains and traveling to state and national parks. An avid animal lover, Linda provided a caring home for 20+ dogs and cats, thankfully not all at the same time. She fiercely loved her people too and held family and friends close to her heart. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving husband and best friend of 48 years, William "Bill" Mabile; children Adrian Honderick (James) and Erin Mabile (Mike Garbett); grandchildren Eli and Jackson; pets Thor, Lola and Otis; her sister Carolyn Collins (Travis); as well as extended family members and friends.
Linda's family will be celebrating her life in the Spring.
