Linda Sue Manning, 74 of Springfield passed away, Friday, December 1, 2023 in her home. She was born November 23, 1949 in Springfield to Jerry W. and Sue C. (Fergerson) Simmons.
Linda graduated from Greenwood High School in 1967 and attended SMS. She was a preschool teacher at Mercy Hospital for over 20 years before her retirement.
She had a passion for teaching preschool and loved her students. She enjoyed learning about nature and loved animals.
She is survived by two sisters, Vicky Corrigan (Dennis) and Joni Seever (Mike); a daughter, Christy Haslip; four grandchildren; two nephews, Ben Corrigan and Justin Barcomb (Rosie) and a step-nephew, Michael.
Private family burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
