Funeral service for Linda Sue Mathews will be 10:00am, Friday, August 29, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe with Bro Kelly Coleman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, August 28, 2025, at Griffin Funeral Home.
Proverbs 31:25
Linda Mathews was a Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Friend. Linda leaves behind a legacy of servitude and love. She was a very strong willed and faithful woman who loved her family unconditionally. She loved her church family at Culbertson Baptist Church like true family members, always serving others. Other places that she served includes the Northeast LA Emmaus and Bayou Chrysalis. When not serving others, Linda spent her time hunting, fishing, drag racing, reading, and doing arts and crafts. Linda was born on July 10, 1978 and passed from this life on August 25, 2025, at the age of 47.
She is preceded by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Bonnie Brown; paternal grandparents, John and Erlene Jackson; and a special niece, April Lawrence.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Shane Mathews; daughter, Savanah Webber and husband Joshua of Marion, LA; son, Dustin Mathews of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, April Webber and Maverick Webber; sister, Ann Caraway; sister, Glenda Craft and husband Lee; mother, Bonnie Conerly and husband James of Keithville, LA; father, Glen Jackson and wife Brenda of Jacksonville, NC; nieces, Harley Carson and husband Cameron, Angela Lawrence, and Kimberly James and husband Jamie; nephews, Acey Craft, Cris Caraway and Cordel Craft; great nieces, Ariel Barnett and Abigail James; great nephews, Solomon James and Bennett Carson; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randy Bush, Terry Logan, T.J. Lively, Shannon Perot, Jimmy Staples, and Ryan McGowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bison and Michael Mathews.
Family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU and respiratory staff of St. Francis Cabrini hospital and Allegiance Hospice staff of Monroe and LOPA staff for the stellar care they gave to Linda and her family.
