Amanda Marie Mathews, 46, was born in Houston, TX on June 23, 1978, and departed the world on April 19, 2025. She is a lifelong resident of Houston, where she graduated from Sharpstown High School, Class of 1995. She worked for Blockbuster Video and really enjoyed the details of her job. Amanda received many awards and rewards for her achievements. She was a member of Way of Life Pentecostal Church of Houston, and a former member of Irvington Pentecostal Church of Houston. She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Edward Mathews, grandparents, Tom and Tommy Taylor of Houston, Ernest Edward Mathews and Elizabeth L. Baker Mathews, and aunt, Maribess Taylor, all of Houston. Also preceded by aunt Sandra Huse of California, and aunt Ginger Taylor and uncle Clayton Taylor, and Sarah Kate Taylor, all of Katy. Amanda is survived by her mother, Diane Taylor Mathews, her brother, Randolph (Randy) Mathews, and her twin sister, Ashley Elizabeth Mathews, of Houston, Texas, cousins, Cassie Huse Tarantino of California, and Allison J. Taylor of Katy, Texas, her dear friend Bryan Williams of Houston, many other cousins and friends, and cats: Foxy, Baby, Sugar, Katniss, Prim and Sissy. She is missed and loved by all.
