Craig 70, passed away at his home in Conroe, Texas on February 2, 2025. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 18, 1954, to parents Harold and Elizabeth Heberling.

He graduated from Sharpstown High School in 1972 and attended the University of Houston.

Craig and Donna met on a blind date in 1974. They married 6 months after meeting on February 15, 1975, in Houston, TX and were just shy of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised their one and only daughter, Amber Godwin. He spent over 40 years in sales in the food service industry. He met many coworkers and customers that became friends over the years.

He had an infectious sense of humor and made everyone laugh. He loved living on Lake Conroe where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and hanging out with their friends. He loved visiting with his brothers-in-law and enjoyed going to the casino, where he was an avid winner. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandson Chase, talking about their day, cows, and playing challenging games of chess.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna; daughter, Amber and husband Chuck of Montgomery, TX. He was a proud "Pee Paw" to Chase. He is also survived by his mother Elizabeth Heberling and his two brothers Jim Heberling wife Linda of Lufkin, TX, and Dennis Heberling of Houston, TX. He is also survived by several loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Harold K. Heberling, and sister-in-law, Julie Heberling.
