Linda Ann Minor, 77, of Youngsville passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Linda was a longtime resident of Franklin County. She graduated from Youngsville High School and later studied to become a CNA at Vance Granville. She worked and retired from Wake Medical in Raleigh, N.C.
She loved to crochet and give out her handmade dish scrubbies. She enjoyed traveling to Pilot Mountain with her husband, Ricky and going to lots of car shows. She never met a stranger and if she did, they would likely be friends before they parted ways.
Linda loved animals and treated them like they were her babies. Always holding and hugging them. She would push her Yorkie, Sassy Lynn, around the car shows in her stroller with a fan attached to keep her cool and comfortable on those hot summer days. She loved her family and made sure to tell them that every time she saw them in person, or before she would hang up the phone.
She had a heart for people and God, Linda and many of her family members attended Flat Rock Baptist Church. She was very strong in her faith and never doubted the Lord or the miracles he performed in her life. Over the years she served as a Sunday School teacher for the adult class and a greeter at Wake Forest Church of God, which suited her well because she loved giving out hugs and she always had a smile on her face. Later she attended Revive Church where she taught Sunday School and her and Ricky were married. Most recently Linda attended Grace Fellowship in Youngsville where she felt at home with her Pastor and church family.
One month and one day prior to her passing she posted a video that said, "Seven things I know are true", 1. Life is a gift; 2. Death is certain; 3. The Bible is truth; 4. Health is wealth; 5. Tomorrow isn't promised; 6. God is always working; and 7. We can't live without God.
Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. John 14:1-3
She was preceded in death by her son, Dewayne Hayes, father, K.B. Hill, and mother, Jean Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Minor, two step-daughters, Crystal and Mandy, daughter, Gidget Hayes, son, Kenneth Hayes and wife, Amy, grandson, Brandon Hayes, and wife, Megan, ten step-grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Chamblee and husband Wallace and their children and grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
