Linda Kay Neville, a treasured soul and beautiful spirit, passed away on the 30th of August 2025, at the place she called home her entire life, Morgantown, WV. Born to the late James and Thelma Newbraugh, on May 25th, 1946, Linda's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and familial bonds, a legacy that will live on through those she cherished.
Linda was the cherished matriarch of a family that embraced her nurturing spirit. She was a loving mother to her devoted daughter, Lori Hunt, and her son-in-law, John, who will miss her guidance and warmth every day. Linda endured the heartache of losing her beloved son, James Edward "Jim" Neville, and her husband, George Edward "Ed" Neville. Her legacy is cherished by her sister, Judy Haught, whose bond with Linda was built on a lifetime of shared memories and unconditional support.
Being a grandmother was one of Linda's greatest delights, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and family values that is embodied by her grandsons, Jordan Neville (Malia) and their children River, Raelin, and Ridge; Josh Neville (Kelsea) and their son Kai; Jace Neville (Serena) and their daughter Haven; and her granddaughter, Carley Hunt (Alex) and their son Oliver, grandson, Brody Hunt. She also leaves behind her special nephews, Scott and Steve Haught, who meant the world to her. Each of them was touched by her nurturing presence, and they will hold on to the precious memories created with her.
Linda's heart was always with her family, but she also found happiness in her personal interests. A dedicated member of the Little Falls Boat Club, she enjoyed the serenity that came with being near the water. Those who knew Linda will fondly recall her enthusiasm for a good game of bingo and the laughter that would fill the room whenever she played.
Most of all, Linda was the embodiment of love. She spread it generously through her life, weaving it into the fabric of her family, ensuring that it was felt in every hug, every piece of advice, and every shared milestone. It wasn't just that Linda loved; it was the way she loved wholly, fiercely, and unconditionally that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Flowers are appreciated and welcomed, as are contributions to help with Linda's funeral expenses.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday September 3, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm and again on Thursday from 10 am until the 11 am service with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Linda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband George, immediately following the service in Beverly Hills Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com
