Linda Fay Nichols, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. Ken Spegal officiating. Burial to follow in the Maury City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at 1:00 P.M.
Mrs. Linda was born in Tiptonville, TN on August 30, 1950, to the late Charles Edward Reynolds and Mary Katherine Scott Reynolds. She was a member of Faith Way Baptist Church of Troy, TN and attended Johnson Grove Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Linda was a devoted wife and mother; her greatest joy was loving and caring for her family. She loved to play cards, whether it be Rumi, Rook or Uno and was known to win. Mrs. Linda was also known for her fishing skills! She refused to eat them but loved to catch them. She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Regina Parker; four brothers: James, William, Terry and Jackie Reynolds.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years: Raymond Eugene Nichols of Alamo, TN; one daughter: Melinda Cutler (Greg) of Dyersburg, TN; three sisters: Barbara Lynn of Tiptonville, TN, Mary Jo Smith of Weakley County, TN, Margurite Marlow of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers: Donald Reynolds of Troy, TN, Charles Reynolds of Hornbeak, TN; three grandchildren and two step grandchildren: James and Jessica Cutler of Dyersburg, TN, Mary Grace Parker (Preston) of Hickman, KY, Micheal Parker (Carrie) of Tiptonville, TN, Sarah Parker of Ridgely, TN, John and Zac Parker (Jana) of Obion, TN; She leaves a legacy of seven great-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers serving are Michael Parker, Scotty Hale, James R. Cutler, Billy Lynn Burden, Preston Buchanan; Honorary Pallbearers are Dalton Edmoniston and Lance Reynolds.
