Linda Nicholson

Linda Nicholson, age 72, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
She leaves behind her husband, Jimmy Nicholson; three children, Melinda Scott & husband Shawn of London, KY, Jason Nicholson & wife Christina of London, KY, Eric Nicholson & wife Sherry of Corbin, KY; two siblings, Patricia Adams & husband Dewayne of London, KY, Michael Mills of Corbin, KY; nine grandchildren, Brittany Walters, Brianna Walters, Chloe Nicholson, Jaylyne Nicholson, Michah Nicholson, Shawn Cobb, Ashley Nicholson, Hadlee Nicholson, Halie Gibson; six great grandchildren, Elazia Oldham, Keegan Nicholson, Adalynn Cobb, Emerson Cobb, Cayden Nicholson, Colin Scott; her son-in-law, Chuck Walters; her brothers-in-law, Bobby Nicholson, Johnny Shell; her sister-in-law, Julie Nicholson; a special friend, Genople Robinson; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde & Georgia Abner Mills; two children, Melissa Ann Walters, Jonathan Nicholson; two siblings, Barbara Gail Powell, Juanita Shell; her grandson, Steven Cobb; her sister-in-law, Cathy Vickers; her brothers-in-law, Floyd Vickers, Johnny Nicholson, Cliff "Mutt" Powell.
Linda will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Linda worked for many years as a medicine aide at Hillcrest Nursing Home, where she cared for others with patience and compassion. Outside of work, she loved the simple pleasures of life-camping, fishing, and spending peaceful days on the family farm along Tom Cat Trail.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service honoring Linda Nicholson will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Johnny Schell and Wayne House officiating. Interment will follow at the Nicholson Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has trusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrange arrangements.
