Linda O'Connor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Money and King Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Dec. 10, 2025.
Linda Ann O'Connor passed away from cancer on December 6th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Linda was the daughter of David and Anne Smith. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 1987. Linda worked as a paralegal for many years and ultimately pursued her passion for cooking later in life as a private cook for the clergy at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Linda was known by many for the abundance of love she so generously shared and for the delicious meals she crafted for those around her. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed many other hobbies, including gardening, quilting, crocheting, fishing, and mushroom foraging.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jim O'Connor, her children, James O'Connor and Amy Kwelberg; and her brother, Paul Smith. In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, whom she loved and cherished as if they were her own children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Anne Smith, and her sister and best friend, Rosemarie Dee Fouts.

A service will be held on December 15th, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Vienna, VA, followed by a gathering at the O'Connors' home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in her memory to support research in rare cancers, including thymic carcinoma https://giving.mskcc.org/rare-cancer
