Linda Ellen Petersen 78, of Sturgeon Bay and formerly of Egg Harbor, passed away on July 21, 2025, at Door County Medical Center. She was born on January 11, 1947, in Shawano, WI to Richard and Henrietta (Goldacker) Anderson Sr. On August 16, 1969, she married James H. Petersen in Marshfield, WI.

Linda worked as the office manager at Bay View Lutheran Church for many years. She served on the Egg Harbor Village Board and was a member of the Egg Harbor Homemakers Club. Linda enjoyed knitting and weaving. She was an avid book reader, a fantastic interior designer, and a fan of "old time" radio classics. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many people.

Survivors include her husband, James; one daughter, Sara (Timothy) Guyette, Apple Valley, MN; one grandchild, Owen Guyette; four brothers, Richard (Rachael) Anderson, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Anderson, John (Jan) Anderson, Philip (Meribeth) Anderson; one sister, Susan (friend, Steve Holshbach) Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Dale (Mary) Petersen, Jeff (friend, Judy Harman) Petersen. She was preceded by her parents; and one daughter, Jaime Petersen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Gary Scharrig officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
