Linda Poag Obituary

Having attended both the University of South Carolina and Winthrop University, Linda dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a substance abuse counselor. Her compassion and expertise made a lasting impact on those she served. Linda's warmth, sharp mind, and sense of humor touched all who knew her. She had a lifelong love of reading and enjoyed nothing more than a good book!
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Paul Poag; her parents, Ruby and William Carnes; and her cherished aunt, Virginia Godshall. She is survived by her grandson, Trey Poag, who was the light of her life.

I only recently came to know Linda. She had a beautiful spirit! I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with her! She made one smile with her wonderful humor. She will be missed. May you rest in peace! Donna C.
