Long time Juneau resident Linda Kathleen Price (Varness) 70, passed away October 1st, 2025 at her home in Juneau, Alaska.

A memorial celebrating Linda's life will be held at some future date. The interment of Linda's remains will be located at the Shrine of St. Theresa in Juneau, Alaska.

Linda Price (Varness) was born February 22, 1955 in Seattle, Washington to Ingvald and Patricia Varness. She graduated from Juneau - Douglas High School in 1973. She married Anthony Price on November 22, 1972 in Juneau, Alaska.

Linda did many things during her, Life. She was a full-time wife and mother to three sons, David, Scott, and Joshua. While raising her own children, she also did daycare in her home. Over the years she saw many children come and go. All of these children are adults now, many of which share fond memories of Linda singing and playing with them and of many dogs that she and her husband had throughout the years.

When Linda's own children became adults, she ventured into the work world outside the home. It was here that she really excelled, she had numerous jobs, but the most memorable one was with Wells Fargo Bank. Linda loved helping people and working in the loan department was the perfect fit. When Linda retired from the bank it was a bittersweet moment because she left many friends, both at the bank and the many customers she helped with personal finances.

During her few years of retirement, she enjoyed her home and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Price, three sons, David, Scott and Joshua and daughter in laws, Stephanie Price and Shana Price of Juneau, Alaska, eight grandchildren, Caitlin Price, Connor Price, Seth Price, Kayden Price, Jake Price and Judge Price of Juneau, Alaska, Raegan Price of Orem, Utah and Logan Price of Nikiski, Alaska.

Linda's family wrote, "She loved the holidays and decorating her home, reminding her grown children about birthdays and anniversaries, making sure everyone washed their hands when entering the house and how to do laundry correctly. The list goes on and on. Linda was a loving, caring, kindhearted and thoughtful person. Linda was also brutally honest and would always tell it how it was or at least how it was according to Linda. Linda was the rock and the glue that held our family together through the good and the bad times and she will surely be missed by this family and her many friends."

I have known Linda for a long time. When I worked at Super Bear she was one of our customers. Always very friendly even if she had to wait for the chicken to be done in the deli. Then Scott came to work at Super bear. I enjoyed working with him.
Linda will be missed from a lot of people in Juneau. Plus the people who have left Juneau.
I want to tell the family that she was wonderful lady. Always fun to be around.
