Fannie Price Obituary

Fannie Price (nee Zepkowitz) passed away in the early morning hours of October 4, 2025.

Born in Mariestad, Sweden on September 10, 1948, Fannie arrived in the United States in 1953 with her parents, Holocaust survivors Ellis and Bluma Zepkowitz (deceased) and her older sister, Hannah. They lived in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia for several years before settling in the Northeast on Horrocks Street. Fannie was a graduate of Northeast High School (Class of 1966) and trained as a medical lab technician afterward, something she did as a vocation for years later. Most recently, Fannie worked as a phlebotomist and lab tech for Abington Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2017.

Fannie raised her family in Huntingdon Valley, PA and loved being in the company of family and close friends, including groups of children of Holocaust survivors. Fannie loved her children, her friends, reminiscing, and laughing.

Fannie is survived by her children, Alexander Price (Julie Wentz) and Samantha Price (Patrick Sullivan), her granddaughter Natalie Price, step-granddaughter Tylar Marren, her sister Hannah Levin (Michael), her niece Suzanne Okun (Doug), her nephew Erik Levin (Sabrina), and her closest friends in the world, Marilyn Baker and Judith Beigel.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center (hamec.org).
