LINDA GAIL PROCTOR, 70, of Piedmont, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born in South Carolina to Ben Winford and Doris Louise Herrington Ray, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Steve Proctor; son: Scotty Eugene Proctor, and sisters: Doris Edna Moody, Becky Lynn Ardis, and Sadie Mae Ray. Linda was a loving, caring, God fearing person with a kind heart. She loved flowers, cooking for family get-togethers, and playing with the grandkids. She retired from Piedmont Health Care after 32 years. She was a member of the Congregational Holiness and attended Plainview C H Church when able. Survivors include her daughters: Sheri Proctor and Stephanie Proctor (Jesse) Baker; adopted daughter: Cindy (Shane) Godfrey; sisters: Kathie Ray Ard and Deborah Lee Ray; grandchildren: Clayton Freeman, Dalton Mitchell, Heather Leeann Freeman, Angela Denise Freeman(Chanquaun Turner), Austin Isaiah Fielder, and Mackinley Smith; and great grandchildren: Corbin Ousley, Bryson Zayan Turner, John Luke Freeman, and Olivia Strawn. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Mark Willingham and Paul Hancock officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Garden. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Proctor Family.
