Linda Salvati

Linda (Simpson) Salvati, of Middletown, NY, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2025. She was 77 years old. The daughter of the late Walter William Simpson and Inez Babcock Simpson, Linda was born on June 15, 1948, in Middletown, NY. On March 28, 1976, Linda married the absolute love of her life, Joseph Michael Salvati. They built a beautiful life together, filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. Whether it was traveling to Cape Cod with family or simply sharing everyday moments, Joe always called her his bride, and she could not wait to be reunited with him after his passing on January 10, 2017. Linda was a dedicated beautician who refused to fully retire, working with her extended family at Transformations Salon, where her clients and colleagues brought her endless joy. Beyond her profession, she lived a life of service and fellowship. She devoted several years to Garnet Auxiliary, more than 25 years with the Business & Professional Women's Club of Middletown and was an active member of Otisville Presbyterian Church. Social, spirited, and full of love, Linda cherished time with family, friends, and especially her dear friend Grace, who was often by her side. She will be remembered for her warmth, her faith, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Salvati; her parents, Walter and Inez Simpson; her stepson Jeff Salvati; her brothers Richard C. Simpson, Donald Wayne Simpson Sr., and Walter William Jr.; and her many sisters who went before her: Ida Kniffin, Bertha King, Marilyn Taylor, Patricia Miller, Judy Boyce, Janet Young, Betty Lou Simpson, Cheryl Kowalczik, Brenda Mitchell, and Gail Simpson. She is survived by her loving family, including her stepdaughter Karen Robinson, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward with love. She also leaves behind countless friends whose lives she touched deeply. At Linda's request, there will be no visitation. Interment will take place at Wallkill Cemetery in Middletown, NY, at the convenience of the family. All who knew and loved Linda take comfort in knowing she is once again by Joe's side-exactly where she always longed to be.
