Mrs. Linda Santiago, 86, of Lewisville, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her children, some of her grandchildren and other family members Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Vienna Village. She was born July 13,1938 in Wilkes County to Noah Richard Walker and Margie Felts Walker where she grew up on a farm with her two brothers. She graduated from East Wilkes and attended Pfeiffer College where she met her husband, Sam. Mrs. Santiago was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Sam Santiago; a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Gamble Santiago and a sister-in-law, Janice Walker. Surviving are her four children, Rose Whitt, Joanna Ayers (Dale), Andy Santiago (Mindy) and Rick Santiago (Susan); eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two beloved brothers Charles Walker and Bill Walker (Judy). Family was very important to her. Gatherings were so much fun with good food and lots of laughter. She left us all with wonderful memories. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Rex Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank Vienna Village for their exceptional care of Linda, and the Mountain Valley Hospice.
