Linda L. Saylor, 81, of Toledo, OH passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Linda was born on June 4, 1941. She was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School. Her first job was at Frisch's Big Boy and later worked at Cherry Hill Nursing Home, Sheraton Westgate and Century 21 Real Estate, where she earned her gold jacket. She married the love of life, Nelson J. Saylor and together they spent 45 years together before his death in May of 2009.
Linda liked to stay busy. She took lessons on how to fly a hand glider, she was an extremely talented artist, she enjoyed taking her kids swimming at Riverside Pool and the quarries. Linda volunteered for outings with the Friendly Center and she also served a substitute teacher for a time at Sherman Elementary School. She enjoyed her steak and seafood. Linda will be remembered as very soft spoken and kindhearted. She loved life and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ our Lord. The family will miss the late-night talks and her beautiful smile.
Linda is survived by her five children, Robert Cumming, Jr., Lucinda L. Cumming, Frank Saylor, Nelson Saylor, Jr., and Michele Saylor (Gidel); 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Cole; and cousin, Barbara Myslinski. She is preceded in death be her father, Frank (Burt) Cole; mother, Dora L. Schulty (Cole); brother, Larry Cole; granddaughter, Jessica; and her husband, Nelson J. Saylor, who is waiting in Heaven to be reunited bringing that beautiful smile back to her face.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 1-1:45 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Toledo Memorial Park, with a brief prayer service beginning at 1:45 p.m. Entombment will follow.
