Linda J. Schlesinger, age 62, of St. Paul, Minnesota, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 11:57 am on Friday, August 29, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born September 19, 1962, in Peoria, a daughter to Arthur and Jean (Davis) Schlesinger. She met the love of her life John Olson and after many cherished years they married on March 27, 2012, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Linda graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria in 1980. She earned her BA in English form St. Olaf College in 1984. Linda worked in career services at William Mitchell Law School after college. She later worked in textbook publishing as a sales representative and area manager. Linda loved reading, swimming, nature and taking long walks outside. She had a deep heart of compassion for all people and all animals. Linda was adamite about eating healthy foods and living a healthy lifestyle. She devoted much time to numerous social causes. She truly cherished her family and friends. Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her parents Arthur and Jean Schlesinger; husband John Olson; two sisters: Gail (Galen) Crow and Laura (Fred) Shane; as well as two cousins: Greg (Phyllis) Lenske and Larry Lenske, and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her Aunt Joan Lenske, Uncle Ben Lenske and one Cousin Jeff Lenske.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM until time of the celebration of life at 11:00 am. Pastor Tim Mitchell will officiate. An additional Celebration of Life will be held for Linda in St. Paul, MN at a later date.

Access to Westminster Presbyterian Church during construction on Moss Avenue is best from University Street to W. Bradley Ave. Then go south on North Institute Place and continue on Institute across Moss Avenue to church parking lot.

Preferred memorials in Linda's memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Cremation and celebration of life services have been made under the direction and care of Wright & Salmon Mortuary. (309-688-4441)

Linda was a dear, kind soul on this earth and will be greatly missed by all of us whose lives she touched. She graciously took on any project if it helped another person and lived with compassion, grace and humility. An shining light for us all.
