Linda E. Sharawi was born in Manhattan, NY on February 27, 1953 and was welcomed home to eternal paradise on June 21, 2024. Her passing, while sudden, comes after a long and courageous health battle leaving her family profoundly saddened by this incredible loss.
Linda was an exemplary human being who embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and endless grace and compassion for all. She is the beloved monarch of a small, but mighty tribe. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world, and she was the same to them.
Linda is survived by her 3 children: Ahmed Sharawi, Alexandra Giorgio and her husband Phil, and Lara Sharawi; and her grandchildren Mia Grace and Philip "Broey" Giorgio. She was predeceased by her husband Mohamed Sharawi, and her mother Ann Marie Brayuha. She also leaves behind a beloved fur grandson, Chandler, whose barks she will not miss!
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who knew and loved her dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2024 from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held the following day at 11 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church 1925 Route 82 Lagrangeville, followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
