Linda Ann Sullivan

January 7, 1951 – July 14, 2025

Linda Sullivan, 74, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Jack Ferguson and Shirley (Odette) Shannon, she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Linda graduated from St. Peter & Paul High School in 1969 and married Timothy Sullivan in 1971. They welcomed their daughter Shannon in 1977 and relocated to Edgewater, Florida, in 1986. Linda had a rewarding 30-year career at Daytona State College, where she worked in several administrative roles, most recently as the Senior Administrative Assistant in the School of Computer Science & Building and Architecture Technology. She was also president of the Career Employees Association, where she advocated tirelessly for hourly employees and helped create the Falcons In Action mentoring program for foreign athletes.

A devout Catholic, Linda was an active member of her church and found immense joy in supporting her grandchildren - she never missed an event or game. She also cherished spending time with her dear friends, whether it was at a movie or on an adventurous road trip.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Jeffrey) Wilen; grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, and Chloe; siblings, John (Lenette) Ferguson, Don (Wanda) Ferguson, Scott (Darlene) Ferguson, and Peggy Schindler; and many step-sisters. She was preceded in death by her brother Steve Ferguson and sister Kathleen Ludwig.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette Street, Port Orange, Florida, on August 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Niemann-Pick disease Foundation, Inc. (NNPDF) in support of Linda's great nephew or doing something fun: enjoy a sunset, go to dinner with a friend, walk on the beach and laugh with your people. Live for today!

Deepest condolences.
I was fortunate to work with Linda for many years in the Computer Science department at Daytona State College. I was especially blessed with her service and friendship as Secretary when I was Department Chair.
God Bless.

Linda was not only one of my sister, Nancy´s, best friends but she was a fantastic friend to my mom as well. She made mom´s days without Nancy around extra special. I will never forget her kindness. Linda and Nancy are watching a softball game in heaven today!

Shannon and family,

We are sending our deepest condolences and lots of love your way. If you need anything, please let us know.
Your mom had a big personality and her laugh was contagious... (like Grandma Shannon) She loved her friends and family deeply and will be missed.
