Linda M. Sutphen

Linda M. Sutphen passed away July 17, 2025 surrounded by her family in Alliance, Nebraska. She was born in Rayville, Missouri on July 22, 1941 to Lester and Dorothy (Carpenter) Lewis. On February 27, 1961, Linda married Richard Sutphen in Bridgeport, Nebraska. To this union two sons, R.D. and J.D. were born. Richard and Linda lived in the Sandhills until 2000, moving into Alliance for retirement. Linda was a proud member of the D.A.R. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents and her siblings, George, Mary, Richard and Barbara. Linda is survived by her son, R.D. and his wife, Marianne Sutphen and their children, Kara and Ty (Morgan) and her son, J.D. and his wife, Jodi and their children, Morgan (Ashleigh) and Peyton and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be designated to the United Methodist Church in Lakeside, Nebraska and may be sent in care of the family to 927 Colorado Avenue, Alliance, Nebraska, 69301. In keeping with her wishes, no services are planned.
