Linda Sue Torres

Services celebrating the life of Linda Sue Torres, age 69, will be held Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mark Neely. A burial will follow at Lindale City Cemetery.
Linda passed away Saturday October 28, 2023 in Lindale, Texas. She was born in Tyler, Texas on January 26, 1954. Linda was a graduate of Lindale High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. Linda served as drum majorette at Lindale High School where she was also honored as most beautiful and State FFA Sweetheart. She enjoyed life in many places with her loving husband Ken including California, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Lake Conroe, and Lindale, Texas. Linda enjoyed entertaining, cooking, decorating, traveling, skiing and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Linda was full of life and beautiful inside and out.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Nig" Bobby and Bobbie Jean (Treadaway) James; and husband, Ken Anthony Torres.
She is survived by brother, Kenneth James of Lindale; sister, Brenda Thompson of Dallas; stepson, Kenneth Torres of Rodi, California; and step daughter, Suzi and Bob Ballou of Flint; along with a niece, two nephews and numerous grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be C. James Rutledge, Bob Ballou, David Burrow, Scott McGuire, Chris and Nathan James.
