Linda Lee Tumlinson

Linda Lee Tumlinson, age 84, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the Windchime at the Village Assisted Living in Kingsland, Texas. Born July 16, 1941, in Livingston, Texas to the late Eldridge Leon Williams and Mae Dell (Andress) Williams.

In 1962, Linda graduated from Baylor University, then went on to teach typing and shorthand at Brenham High School. It was in Brenham that she married William Louis (Bill) Tumlinson on December 26, 1963. For over 61 years, the two enjoyed close companionship as they navigated the adventures of life together.

Not only did Linda work as a teacher, her career path led to the position of executive secretary to a bank vice president, and later to co-owner of a donut business.

In retirement, Linda enjoyed full-time time RV travel all around the U.S. with her husband, Bill. Then, after settling in Kingsland, she became a member of First Baptist Church and was actively involved in various activities which included Bible study, serving in a card ministry, Meals on Wheels, and as treasurer for the Lamda Nu Chapter of Kingsland, TX.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Rita Hon and Ginger McGarrahan.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Tumlinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Debora and David Sechrist; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Burks; granddaughters, Karissa (Drew) Pocilyko, Shelby Burks, Kiersten Sechrist, Skyler Burks; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Remmi, and Pippa, along with numerous other relatives.

Linda will be greatly missed by all her family. She will be remembered for her love, sacrifice, laughter, and the interest and attention which she gave to each one.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the pavilion in Park 2 in Lakeside Heights, Kingsland, Texas at 10:30 am. Lunch will be provided.
