Linda Verret

Linda Harrell Verret passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the age of 83. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Louis Verret, Jr.; her parents, Willie B. Harrell and Catherine A. Wilkinson; and her siblings. Kenny Harrell and Cathy Daily. She leaves behind her loving children: David Verret, Daryl Verret, and Cherie Norman (Eric); her grandchildren: Brittney Kuepferle, Caitlin Verret, and Blake Cazaux; her great-granddaughter, Elliana Verret; her sister, Mary Thames; her nieces, Robin Thames and Lisa Bourgeois; and her nephews, Robert Thames and Brandon Daily.
Linda was born in Independence, LA, and made her home in Destrehan, LA, where she touched the lives of everyone she met. Linda was known for her warmth and zest for life, which she shared with friends and family alike. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel across the USA and abroad, where she met the love of her life. A true connoisseur of the good things in life, Linda embraced first-class living, enjoyed gathering with friends over delicious meals, and cherished the bonds she created along the way.
Linda worked in insurance with John Hancock, building lasting relationships throughout her career. Yet, it was the time spent with her family and beloved pets that brought her the most joy. Her heart swelled with pride at the birth of her children and grandchildren, and she celebrated each milestone, particularly their college graduations, with unwavering love and joy.
Lindas legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be dearly missed, her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. We love you more than words can express. Rest in peace, Linda, until we meet again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a service starting at 12:00 noon followed by inurnment.
