Linda Vertrees Obituary
She was born in Big Clifty to Harold and Lela Meredith Crosier. She was a homemaker. She loved helping other people. She loved crafting and sewing. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Janet E. Portman; and her brother, Louis W. Crosier.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, David W. Vertrees of Elizabethtown; two sons, Edred (Alicia) Vertrees of Leitchfield and Ian (Elizabeth) Vertrees of Bedford, Ohio; two daughters, Jessica (Adam) Salyers of Elizabethtown and Melissa (Ron) Boniecki of Cole City, Illinois; her sister, Debbie Crosier of St. Paul; and seven grandchildren, Vincent Orlando, Emily Sherman-Johnson, Caleb Salyers, Cheyenne Boniecki, Jack Salyers, Tucker Vertrees and Ronnie Boniecki.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Bryan Shofner officiating.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
